I strongly advise you not to remove anything you really want from your wishlist just because it's private or capped/retired.

You can squester those in a smaller wishlist called something like "Impossible Dreams" if you like--but you never know what you may see in the Donation Centre, or the CW Pawn Shop when it's open, or what you might find under your Lumi tree.

I have acquired almost all of the "Impossible" items that I really truly wanted over the 6 years I've been here. There are still a few I don't have yet, but I've found them in all of the places I've mentioned above. Sometimes I've had to slap down 5000 CSC for them, but I have them, and three of my "great white whales" turned up under my Lumi tree. IDK how they got them, if they just had them and were no longer using them, and I'm certainly not asking, I'm just glad to have them.

If you don't have them on one of your wishlists and they turn up in the Pawn Shop, you won't be able to see and snag them first using wishlist view, which is how I have managed to grab a couple of things that there are only 5 copies of that apparently nobody felt they could sell out in the open.

If you don't have them on your wishlists and someone wants to get rid of them because they don't use it any more but doesn't want to create drama, you can't get anonymous gifted or Lumi gifted.

Also, CW shops belonging to people who are frozen or just gone for other reasons are usually not closed, just hidden. Search for the item and you'll be taken to the shop.

Purchase restrictions are between the original seller and the original buyer. If someone violates the terms of the deal they made, that is not on you.

Some of these really rare, old CWs were made by people who aren't on the site anymore or groups that no longer exist. I have a couple of CHIC CW hair items that were only sold to members of the group. When I first got here and decided I wanted those, I applied to join the group only to find out that it didn't really exist anymore. I found them in Various Places after people who had been in the group got bored with them, or left the site, or whatever other reason they had for pawning/donating those items.

If I'm trying to sell something I obtained Through Other Means and the releaser asks to buy it at slot because it's a private of theirs, I'll sell it back to them.
